Just WOOD Art Residence

Just WOOD is pleased to announce the launch of an art residence on the territory of a country hotel. We have come up with this project and will implement it together with the HSE School of Design.

The School of Design is a division of one of the leading Russian universities, the Higher School of Economics, which is included in the list of the 40 best young universities in the world and in the top 100 global universities of Arts and HumanitiesAccording to the prestigious international rating QS-2022.

Now both students and teachers of this university will be able to come to Just WOOD and work on their projects, as well as share their ideas with the guests of the hotel. Just WOOD will support young students who are just beginning their creative path, working in various genres.

Interestingly, similar associations were common in Imperial Russia at the end of the 19th century. At that time, residences were formed mainly around famous authors, to whom other artists came, for example, Vasily Polenov, a famous artist who worked on Tula land.

As part of the art residency at Just WOOD, various workshops, lectures, private screenings, exhibitions, seminars, meetings with artists and much more are planned! The specifics of each individual art residence will depend on the personality and approaches to creativity of each participant. Several thematic trips are already planned - environment design, fabric design, theater season, restoration art workshop, graphic workshop, creation of works by cyanotype method and many others!
